TOKICO (USA) INC. has three locations
in the United States. In Berea, KY, TOKICO has a factory which produces
original equipment parts for auto manufacturers. The office for original
equipment sales and engineering is located in Allen Park, MI. TOKICO
aftermarket sales and inventory are located in Torrance, CA. Both shock
absorbers and brake hydraulics are sold from this location.
TOKICO LTD. has been manufacturing shock
absorbers, brake parts, and other hydraulics for over 50 years. The
company has been and continues to be a major original equipment supplier
to a variety of auto manufacturers.
Responding to auto manufacturers demands
for a shock that could provide both good stability and good ride quality,
TOKICO developed the twin-tube low-pressure gas shock absorber. TOKICO
began working on this technology in the mid 1970s. Since then much of
that technology has been adopted world-wide. The first U.S. built vehicle
using twin-tube low-pressure gas shock absrobers was the 1982 Lincoln
Continental. Those shocks and struts were designed and supplied by TOKICO.
A long time leader in electronic shock absorbers and suspension products,
TOKICO supplied original equipment shocks and struts for cars such as
the Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe, Nissan 300ZX Turbo and the Lexus LS400
with electronic air suspension.
Today TOKICO supplies original equipment
shocks and struts to a number of manufacturers. A partial list of those
